We're looking for a Maintenance Crew Leader who leads from the front, sets a high standard for quality and safety, and genuinely cares about developing their crew. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being handson, organized, and accountable--and who takes pride in running a tight, professional route.


What This Role Is About

As a Maintenance Crew Leader, you are responsible for the daily execution of assigned maintenance routes. You'll plan and lead the work, manage people and resources, and ensure every site meets Hemington's quality, safety, and contract standards. You are the critical link between field operations and management.


What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Lead maintenance crews and assigned routes daytoday
  • Plan daily work, assign tasks, and ensure all contractual obligations are met
  • Drive route productivity, quality, and safety performance
  • Train, coach, and manage maintenance technicians
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently
  • Maintain accurate production reports, photos, and timekeeping
  • Serve as the primary field communication link to management
  • Identify site issues, scope gaps, and potential upsell opportunities

  • Route Performance: Routes consistently meet bid time and quality standards
  • Crew Development: Demonstrated improvement in technician performance
  • Documentation Accuracy: 98% accurate reporting and timekeeping
  • Safety: Zero preventable safety incidents
  • Client Presentation: Consistent professional appearance at all job sites

Leadership experience in landscape maintenance or a similar field is strongly preferred.

Physical & Mental Requirements

Physical:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Mental:

  • Strong leadership and decisionmaking ability
  • Ability to manage people and daily production demands
