Assistant Controller

Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership: Support and mentor our accounting staff, ensuring all tasks are completed with accuracy and on time. 
• Financial Data Management: Review, validate, and approve financial data for Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, and internal reports. 
• Report Generation: Assist in creating detailed and insightful financial reports, including department budgets, month-end close reports, management reports, certified payroll reports, and more.
• Account Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, credit card statements, health insurance statements, and other account reconciliations. 
• Controller Support: Work closely with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, data collection, and development of accounting processes and procedures. 

What We're Looking For: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

Previous experience in a similar role. 

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software. 

Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail. 

Construction accounting experience (WIP reporting, certified payroll) is a plus.

A high level of integrity and dependability, with excellent communication skills.
